Causes of Scar Marks and Open Pores
Scars and open pores coexist forming uneven skin texture and tone.
Both are results of active sebaceous glands which some pores developed inflammation causing an acne rupture. When a wound heals, the skin forms new collagen fibres, leading to scar tissue.
Scars appeared either raised or depressed.
Depressed acne scars appear as small indentations caused by insufficient collagen production during healing. Whereas raised scars result from over-production of collagen and are bumpy.
Minimising scar marks and open pores
With depressed scars forming uneven texture due to the lack of collagen production, treatment for these conditions aims to regenerate collagen growth and synthesis to fade scars and enhance skin radiance.
Typical pores minimising treatment particularly uses glycolic acid, exfoliate dead skin cells, smoothen skin texture, and lessen scars and pores.
As much as treatment can do wonders, prevention is better than cure.
Use gentle cleanser that won’t strip away your natural oils. Avoid harsh soaps and scrubbing, as this can irritate the skin and stimulate sebum production. Toning after cleansing is essential to balance skin’s pH.
Mild exfoliation twice a week for oily skin helps to remove excess accumulation causing clogged pores. With clean pores, this will prevent new development of acne and inflammation.
Even oily skin needs skincare. Oil production is also a sign of dehydration. Use lightweight, hydrating serum and gel based moisturiser to maintain good balance level in water and oil.
Eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can help regulate your hormones and sebum production. Avoid processed foods, sugary drinks, and excessive dairy, as these can contribute to oily skin.
Maintain good sleeping pattern, manage emotion and stress is essential to allow body self-detox function.

I always do Russian, D curl, 9-13 mm lashes with Elly. Booking and rescheduling are easy via WhatsApp. The environment is also usually quite quiet, which is great for introverts like me. It might not be the cheapest lash extension services on the market, but I get quietness, no hardselling of packages, and lashes that last (caveat; one has to maintain the lashes. Can’t expect to be thin if one eats and doesn’t exercise).

Her skills are superb and has one of the gentlest hands to ever work on my lashes. I always have this nagging ache around the bottom of my back shoulder blade due to bad sitting posture and I used to do regular full body massage (twice a month), the really hard kind similar to Thai massage, as well as TCM cupping and tuina, yet the ache kept coming back.
